The Environmental Health Division is responsible for enforcement of nuisances as provided for in the City of Bismarck’s Code of Ordinances. This section of the ordinance is applicable to violations located both within the corporate limits of the City of Bismarck and the Extra-territorial limits surrounding the City of Bismarck. Environmental health issues typically addressed by our staff include:
- Accumulation and/or improper storage of building and other materials on property
- Accumulation of garbage
- Accumulation of inoperative and/or abandoned vehicles
- Outside storage of vehicle parts
- Presence of animal waste
