Babies and Mothers Beyond Birth Education (BAMBBE)
The BAMBBE Program is a newborn home visit offered as a follow-up to hospital discharge. Shortly after your baby's hospital discharge, a Registered Nurse/Certified Lactation Counselor will call you to schedule an appointment for a home visit. There is no charge for this service.
Services offered during the visit include:
- Weigh baby
- Physical assessment of baby
- Physical assessment of mother, as needed
- Feeding assessment and education
- Safety education
- Immunization information
- Newborn care education
- Information about programs for newborns/families
- Answer questions related to care of mom and baby

Breastfeeding Services
Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health has lactation counselors available for phone counseling, in office and limited home visits.

Well Baby Clinics are offered for infants 0-12 months. Income eligibility required.
Services Include:
- Physical exam by a family practice resident
- Denver Developmental II screening
- Nutritional counseling and education
- Immunization update and administration

- WIC vouchers for those eligible
