Landfill Hours of Operations and Fees
Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Facility
Effective June 1, 2014
All loads taken to the Bismarck Landfill must be tarped or tied down. There will be a $20.00 fee charged at the landfill for loads that are not tarped or not tied down.
 

City of Bismarck Code of Ordinances - Chapter 8-07 Solid Waste Management
8-07-07 Hauling Restrictions
:   A person may not haul or transport garbage, rubbish or solid waste to the city's disposal grounds except in a vehicle which does not permit any garbage, rubbish or solid waste to seep, spill, leak, blow, drop off or fall to the streets, roads or highways leading to such disposal grounds.

January 2 - March 8, 2014
8:00 am - 4:00 pm  Monday - Saturday

March 10 - November 8, 2014
8:00 am - 6:00 pm  Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 4:00 pm  Saturday

November 10 - December 31, 2014
8:00 am - 4:00 pm  Monday - Saturday

The landfill is closed on Sundays.
The landfill is closed on holidays unless indicated on the Trash Collection Schedule.

9:00 am - 2:00 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays
9:00 am - 2:00 pm First and Third Saturday of each month

Residential Collection Fee
  • Single family and two unit residential structures (per unit)
  • $12.31 per month (billed on the City's monthly Water Utility Bill)


Commercial Fee

  • $2.00 per month (billed on the City's monthly Water Utility Bill).  Landfill maintenance fee.

Random inspections are practiced at this site.  If you use this site, you will be expected to participate!  If you do use our facility and are discovered to be delivering unacceptable materials, toxic wastes, or hazardous materials, you will be required to pay for the clean-up and transport of those wastes to a location of our choice or as selected by the State and/or Federal Regulatory Agency.
