Heating Safety
Heating equipment is one of the leading causes of fire during the winter months. Heating equipment that is commonly found and used in the home includes electric space heaters, fuel fired heaters, fireplaces and wood stoves.  If you use a wood burning device such as a fireplace or wood stove, place ashes in a metal container outside and away from the building for several days.  Before disposing of the ashes, soak thoroughly with water to ensure Heating equipment is one of the leading causes of fire during the winter months.
