Catch the CAT
 |
 |
Capitol Area Transit (CAT) is now serving the Bismarck-Mandan area with busses operating on fixed routes both within and between the two cities. Routes serve Kirkwood and Gateway malls, the State Capitol and schools, plus a variety of grocery stores, businesses and other venues.
Fares are $1 per ride for adults, and 50 cents for senior citizens 60 and older, disabled riders with a transit ID card, Medicare card holders and youth in grades K-12. Children preschool age and younger will ride free with an adult. Riders must have the exact fare amount, as drivers do not carry change. Transfers are free (for the next available bus).
Monthly passes for unlimited rides during that month will be available for $35/month for adults and $23 for senior citizens 60 and older, disabled riders with a transit ID card, Medicare card holders and youth in grades K-12.
For additional information, please call the CAT Help Line, (701) 323-9CAT (or 323-9228), or the Bismarck-Mandan Transit Center at (701) 258-8617.
