Emergency Preparedness for Citizens
A good Communications Plan and appropriate Supplies are necessary to cope and respond effectively to any emergency or disaster situation. Also, many scenarios will require one or more common response actions: Evacuate/Escape, Shelter (ie: severe weather), Shelter In Place (ie: chemical emergency), or Lock Down (ie: active shooter). As you address emergency preparedness at home, work, or school, keep those common elements in mind. Also, don't forget to address the Special Needs of infants, elderly, those requiring medications, and other special populations.

"Get Prepared" is hosted by Bismarck Emergency Management, a division of the Bismarck Fire Department.
